here we go again!

So I'm currently in my living room, laying on the floor, in the middle of piles of clothing, shoes and other things that need to be put into suitcases. And what am I doing instead? Writing a blog lol.

This week was finals week at school, which meant BFA Showcase performance at UCI!

I think performing for an audience was EXACTLY what we needed. Well, what I needed, for sure. I felt SO good about the show....everything that I was unsure of fell away and it was honestly the most supportive audience EVER. I can't explain how wonderful it felt to have so many people and so much positive energy in that theatre! Here's the video my cousin took...he had limited space so he only taped my songs (and one of Skye's got in there as well l0l) but check it out! Just a lil' preview to what we'll be bringing to NY...

It's so funny to think that almost exactly a year ago, I was doing the same thing...packing to go to NY, but for the Satellite

program! Even though I'm packing for half the time, it's still just as hard to decide what to pack! I made lists and everything,

but it's just not that easy. Oy.

I guess I should actually go TRY to physically put things in suitcases now. I hope everyone is well...Next you hear from me,

TIME MACHINE

Hi all!

So the other day, Sami, Danny and I were talking about old tv shows/movies we used to watch when we were kids....so of course I got on youtube to see if anyone had these gems posted! Luckily, everything I remembered was posted..and more!! Here are some of my favorites from back in the day (in no particular order)...

1. Rock A Doodle

This movie literally defined a good portion of my childhood...and Sami's! Watching it made me realize that kids these days are really missing out! Sami and I watched the whooooole movie last night. SO good. You can click and watch the rest of it on youtube if you want!

2. My Little Pony Movie

After watching Rock A Doodle, Danny remembered he actually had the old VHS of My Little Pony downstairs!!

So we went downstairs and watched the whoooole thing. Lol this was one of my sister Carly's favorites.

My favorite part is at 2:40 lol. It's pretty much me and Danny in Pony/Dragon form. Enjoy :)

3. ZOOBILEE ZOO

Ok. THIS was my entire childhood. My absolute faaaaavorite show EVER.

Ask my Dad...he had to watch it with me.

I posted the opening theme song and this scene that I found and totally remembered.

4. Eureeka's Castle

Another HUUGE deal in my house. Both of my sisters and I would watch this show eeeveryday!

5. David the Gnome

I really loved this show, but I don't remember whether or not my sisters watched it with me...

I sorta feel like they didn't like it, but whatever.

fun, findings, and fairy-killing robot unicorns...

Hi everyone!

Well...February happened. lol. I really didn't get to update much, did I? Honestly, it's because not too much has happened since the last post. I'm still getting ready for showcase, auditioning every once and a while, and going to class...getting ready for the "real" world, I suppose lol.

One exciting update... our BFA showcase website is up and running!

I've also started looking into getting a website of my own...it's a process, but by the end of the summer I'm hoping to have it up!

In other news, my friend Jordan Beck and his writing partner, Johnathan May, had an amazing concert of their music at the Kennedy Center in DC, and my beautiful friend Mazie performed! It was absolutely amazing to see such wonderful people achieve something so incredible. If you want to check out their concert, here it is!

I was looking at some of the other concerts in the Kennedy Center archive, and I found another new musical theatre composer, Ryan Scott Oliver. I'm pretty much obsessed with his music for Darling, a new, dark deconstruction of Peter Pan. The first two songs of their concert are from that show, and the rest of the music is incredible too! I checked out his blog afterward, and found out that they JUST did a reading of Darling in New York! Check out his concert, too!

It makes me so excited to be part of the newest generation of musical theatre performers...all of this new material makes me excited to get out there and get working! New works are really what I'd love to do...taking a role from workshop to Broadway is definitely a goal of mine, and I can't wait to see it happen!

So lastly, Danny got me hooked on this stupid, stupid computer game called Robot Unicorn Attack. Trust me...it's addicting. But if you're bored...it's something silly to do! Go on...try it...
